Why We Support Sarcoma Research

Sarcoma is a rare form of cancer that develops in the bones and soft tissues. While it can affect people of all ages, it disproportionately impacts children and young adults, making up approximately 15% of all childhood cancer cases. The rarity of sarcoma often leads to delayed diagnosis and limited treatment options.

Children diagnosed with sarcoma face unique challenges. Treatment typically involves a combination of surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy, which can span many months or even years. This journey affects not only the child but the entire family unit, creating emotional, financial, and logistical challenges.
